This petite antique painted bench pairs curving, carved legs and scroll arms with fresh custom upholstery in Schumacher’s Cabanon Stripe rouge fabric. The original painted finish—soft cream with traces of sage and gilt—has worn in all the right places, highlighting the carving and giving the piece an elegant, timeworn patina. Newly cushioned and tightly upholstered in the classic red stripe, it’s ideal at the foot of a bed, pulled up under a window, or floated as a charming perch in a dressing room or powder bath.
